This position is pivotal in assessing, modeling, and optimizing complex energy systems, including renewable energy integration, grid modernization, and energy efficiency solutions. - Conduct in-depth analysis of energy systems, including generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption patterns.
- Develop and utilize sophisticated modeling tools to simulate energy system performance under various scenarios.
- Analyze market trends, policy impacts, and technological advancements affecting the energy sector.
- Evaluate the economic and technical feasibility of renewable energy projects and grid modernization initiatives.
- Perform energy efficiency assessments and recommend strategies for optimization.
- Collaborate with engineers, policymakers, and stakeholders to provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and technical documentation for clients and internal teams.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of analytical methodologies.
- Stay current with evolving energy technologies, regulations, and market dynamics.
- Contribute to business development activities by identifying new analytical opportunities and client needs.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used in analyses.
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy-focused), Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in energy systems analysis, energy markets, or power systems engineering.
- Strong proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., PLEXOS, MARKAL/TIMES, HOMER) and data analysis tools (e.g., Python with Pandas, R, MATLAB).
- In-depth knowledge of power generation technologies, grid infrastructure, and energy storage systems.
- Understanding of energy market structures, regulations, and policy frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly.
- Proven ability to manage projects independently and deliver high-quality results in a remote setting.
- Experience with renewable energy integration and distributed energy resources is highly desirable.
