Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Instructional Technology Specialist to join their educational technology team in **Cincinnati, Ohio, US**. This role is instrumental in supporting the integration and effective use of technology in teaching and learning environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of educational pedagogy, various learning technologies, and best practices for blended and online learning. You will work directly with faculty, students, and staff to provide training, support, and innovative solutions that enhance the educational experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and training on various educational technologies, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), video conferencing tools, and digital content creation software.
  • Collaborate with faculty to design and develop engaging online and blended learning courses.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to educational platforms and tools.
  • Research and evaluate new educational technologies for potential adoption.
  • Develop and deliver workshops and training sessions for faculty and staff on effective technology integration.
  • Create user guides, tutorials, and other support documentation.
  • Assist in the administration and maintenance of the institution's LMS.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in instructional technology and higher education.
  • Support the implementation of new technology initiatives.
  • Ensure accessibility standards are met for all digital learning materials.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education Technology, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience supporting educational technology in an academic setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle).
  • Familiarity with multimedia production tools and digital content creation.
  • Strong understanding of online learning principles and pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems effectively.
  • Experience developing training materials and conducting workshops.
  • Proactive and customer-service oriented approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and remote duties.
