Senior Education Technology Specialist (Remote)

Our client is seeking a dedicated and innovative Senior Education Technology Specialist to join their fully remote team. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the educational experience through the strategic integration and effective use of technology. You will be responsible for evaluating, implementing, and supporting educational technology tools and platforms, providing training and professional development to educators, and ensuring that technology aligns with pedagogical goals and learning outcomes. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of educational technology trends, strong instructional design skills, and a passion for empowering educators and learners.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, recommend, and implement new educational technology tools and platforms to support teaching and learning.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs and workshops for educators on the effective use of educational technology.
• Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for educational technology systems and applications.
• Collaborate with curriculum developers and instructional designers to integrate technology seamlessly into learning experiences.
• Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in educational technology and digital learning.
• Create and maintain documentation, user guides, and resources for educational technology tools.
• Manage educational technology projects, including implementation plans, timelines, and communication.
• Assess the effectiveness of implemented technologies and make recommendations for improvement.
• Support the development and maintenance of online learning environments and digital content.
• Serve as a key point of contact for educators seeking assistance with technology-related pedagogical challenges.
• Contribute to the development of technology policies and strategies for the organization.
• Foster a culture of innovation and effective technology utilization among staff.
• Ensure all technology solutions are accessible and comply with relevant accessibility standards.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational technology integration, support, or management within an educational institution.
• Proven experience in developing and delivering technology training for educators.
• Strong knowledge of various learning management systems (LMS), educational software, and digital tools (e.g., Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft 365 Education).
• Familiarity with instructional design principles and online course development.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-technical users.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Experience with multimedia development tools and techniques is a plus.
• Understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) is highly desirable.
