Our client, a forward-thinking educational institution committed to innovative learning, is seeking a dedicated Senior Educational Technology Specialist. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere within the US. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in integrating and managing cutting-edge educational technologies to enhance the learning experience for students and support educators. You will be responsible for evaluating, recommending, implementing, and maintaining various learning management systems (LMS), digital tools, and educational software. Your expertise will be crucial in providing technical support, training, and guidance to faculty and staff on the effective use of these technologies. This role involves collaborating with instructional designers, IT departments, and academic leadership to develop and deploy technology-enhanced learning solutions that align with institutional goals. You will also stay abreast of emerging trends in educational technology and assess their potential applicability to our learning environment. A key aspect of this role is ensuring the accessibility and usability of all digital learning platforms and resources.

- Evaluate, select, implement, and manage educational technology tools and platforms, including LMS.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training to faculty, staff, and students on educational technologies.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and curriculum developers to integrate technology effectively into learning experiences.
- Develop and deliver professional development workshops and resources on educational technology best practices.
- Stay current with emerging trends and research in educational technology and digital learning.
- Ensure the accessibility, usability, and security of all educational technology platforms.
- Manage vendor relationships and act as a liaison for technology providers.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the institution's technology roadmap.
- Document technical processes, create user guides, and maintain knowledge base articles.
- Monitor and analyze usage data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations.
- Master's degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an educational technology role, preferably in higher education or K-12.
- Proven experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle) and various digital learning tools.
- Strong understanding of instructional design principles and online pedagogy.
- Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Superior communication, presentation, and training delivery skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
- Experience with web conferencing tools and digital collaboration platforms.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and best practices.
- Project management experience is a plus.
