Supply Chain Director

Our client is looking for a visionary Supply Chain Director to lead and transform their logistics and warehousing operations. This critical leadership position will be based at our key facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania . The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and distribution. You will develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. This role requires a deep understanding of global supply chain dynamics, risk management, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. You will lead a team of logistics and warehouse professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of excellence. Key responsibilities include optimizing inventory levels, selecting and managing third-party logistics providers, and implementing advanced supply chain technologies. Performance monitoring and reporting will be crucial, requiring the ability to analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, manufacturing, and finance, to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with overall business objectives. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS) is essential. Experience in demand forecasting and strategic sourcing will be a significant asset. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. An advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., APICS CSCP) are highly preferred.
