Job Description
Our client is looking for a strategic and results-oriented Procurement and Supply Chain Director to lead and optimize our global sourcing and logistics operations. This role is critical in driving cost efficiencies, ensuring supplier reliability, and maintaining the integrity of our supply chain. You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust procurement strategies, negotiating contracts with key suppliers, and managing end-to-end supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship management. Your responsibilities will include identifying new sourcing opportunities, conducting market analysis, and implementing best practices in procurement and supply chain management. You will lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and fostering professional development. A deep understanding of global trade regulations, logistics, and inventory management is essential. Experience with supply chain risk assessment and mitigation strategies is highly desirable. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and proven leadership capabilities. You will work collaboratively with various departments to ensure alignment of procurement goals with overall business objectives. A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. An MBA or relevant master's degree is a plus. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, is essential. Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems is expected. The ability to develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships is paramount.
