Our client, a renowned international design consultancy, is seeking an experienced Lead Urban Design Architect for a fully remote position. This role is an exceptional opportunity to shape significant urban development projects globally, focusing on innovative, sustainable, and human-centered design solutions. You will lead design teams, mentor junior architects, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to bring visionary urban concepts to life. This is a fully remote role, demanding strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage complex projects across different geographies from a distance.

- Lead the conceptualization and development of urban design strategies and master plans for diverse projects worldwide.
- Oversee design teams, providing creative direction, technical expertise, and mentorship.
- Collaborate closely with clients, city officials, community groups, and multidisciplinary consultants to achieve project objectives.
- Develop innovative and sustainable design solutions that address complex urban challenges, including environmental, social, and economic factors.
- Prepare high-quality design presentations, including master plans, site analyses, 3D visualizations, and illustrative graphics.
- Ensure design quality and consistency across all project phases, from concept development to detailed design.
- Stay abreast of global best practices, emerging trends, and cutting-edge technologies in urban design and planning.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring successful and timely project completion.
- Facilitate design workshops and charrettes, engaging stakeholders in collaborative design processes.
- Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations.
- Represent the firm in professional forums and conferences related to urban design.
- Master's degree in Urban Design, Architecture, or Urban Planning.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in urban design and master planning, with a proven track record of leading significant projects.
- Registered Architect or equivalent professional license is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in sustainable design principles and resilient urban development strategies.
- Proficiency in advanced design and visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion/Enscape).
- Strong understanding of GIS, urban planning regulations, and development processes.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex design concepts effectively.
- Proven experience managing and mentoring design teams in a remote or distributed environment.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects concurrently, and meet demanding deadlines.
- A strong portfolio showcasing innovative and impactful urban design projects is essential.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
