Senior Industrial Engineer (Remote)

Our client, a global leader in manufacturing process optimization, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Engineer to join their fully remote team. This role is designed for a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles, process improvement methodologies, and operational efficiency. You will be instrumental in analyzing complex manufacturing and operational processes, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing data-driven solutions to improve productivity, reduce costs, and ensure quality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in workflow analysis, time and motion studies, and facility layout design. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality assurance, and management, to develop and deploy innovative solutions that align with business objectives. - Conduct time and motion studies, work sampling, and workflow analysis.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving operational efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction.
- Design and recommend optimal facility layouts and material flow systems.
- Utilize simulation and modeling software to evaluate process changes and predict outcomes.
- Develop performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational improvements.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to implement process changes and new technologies.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings, recommendations, and project progress.
- Identify and mitigate potential operational risks and bottlenecks.
- Train and mentor plant personnel on process improvement techniques.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Stay current with advancements in industrial engineering and manufacturing technologies.
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, focusing on process optimization and lean manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in statistical analysis and data interpretation.
- Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim) and CAD tools for layout design.
- Experience with production planning, inventory control, and supply chain management.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a systematic approach to identifying root causes.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects autonomously in a remote setting.
- Experience in guiding and implementing large-scale operational improvement initiatives.
