Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Designing, developing, and implementing optimized production layouts, workflows, and material handling systems to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistency and quality.
- Utilizing data analysis tools and techniques to track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions.
- Collaborating with production teams, quality control, and management to implement process changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Leading and facilitating Kaizen events and other continuous improvement projects.
- Evaluating and recommending new technologies and equipment to improve manufacturing operations.
- Developing time and motion studies to establish accurate production standards and labor requirements.
- Conducting ergonomic assessments and implementing solutions to improve workplace safety and employee well-being.
- Providing training and mentorship to junior industrial engineers and manufacturing personnel.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong focus on manufacturing environments.
- Proven expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software for layout design and simulation tools for process modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, essential for remote teamwork.
- Experience in optimizing supply chain and logistics within a manufacturing context is desirable.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and deliver results in a remote setting.
