Advanced Manufacturing Process Engineer (Remote)

Job Description

Our client, a leader in innovative manufacturing solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their dynamic remote team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US. You will play a critical role in optimizing and advancing our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and scalability.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement advanced manufacturing processes and technologies to improve product quality, reduce costs, and enhance production efficiency.
  • Analyze current manufacturing operations, identify bottlenecks, and propose data-driven solutions for optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, quality assurance, and production, to integrate new processes and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and pilot testing for new manufacturing equipment and techniques.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing processes, such as yield, cycle time, and defect rates, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in manufacturing technology and automation, and evaluate their potential application.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing process issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement culture by actively participating in and leading Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality management systems.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Demonstrated expertise in process design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with various manufacturing technologies, such as CNC machining, additive manufacturing, automation, and robotics.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams in a remote setting.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software and simulation tools is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
