Our client, a forward-thinking leader in the Manufacturing & Production industry, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Manufacturing Process Engineer for a fully remote position. This role is critical in optimizing and innovating production processes across multiple facilities, leveraging advanced engineering principles and digital tools. You will play a key part in enhancing efficiency, quality, and safety in our manufacturing operations, all while working collaboratively with teams from anywhere in the US. As a remote-first role, strong communication and self-management skills are paramount.

- Design, develop, and implement optimized manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Analyze existing production lines to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Lead projects focused on automation, process control, and new technology integration within manufacturing environments.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality assurance, operations, and supply chain, to ensure seamless process implementation.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Stay abreast of new manufacturing technologies, materials, and methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor and guide junior process engineers and provide technical expertise to production staff.
- Develop process simulation models to test changes and predict outcomes before full implementation.
- Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality management systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, with a strong track record of successful process optimization.
- Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with process simulation software and CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting.
- Experience leading engineering projects and mentoring junior team members.
- Familiarity with various manufacturing equipment and production systems.
