Remote Lead Instructional Designer - Higher Education

Responsibilities include overseeing the entire course development lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to implementation and evaluation. You will ensure that all courses adhere to university standards for quality, accessibility, and academic rigor. Key tasks involve collaborating with faculty to translate course content into interactive online modules, selecting appropriate instructional technologies and multimedia elements, and developing robust assessment strategies. Experience with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard) and a strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) are essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and project management skills, with a proven ability to mentor and guide a team. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are crucial for working effectively with diverse stakeholders in a remote setting. A portfolio showcasing successful online course development projects is required.
