Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in Thermal Systems to join their fully remote team. This role is integral to the design, analysis, and optimization of thermal management solutions for complex products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of heat transfer principles, fluid dynamics, and advanced simulation techniques, coupled with a proven ability to deliver innovative and reliable thermal designs. As a remote employee, you will collaborate effectively with distributed teams using cutting-edge digital tools.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of advanced thermal management systems, including cooling solutions for electronics, power systems, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Perform detailed thermal analysis using tools such as CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to predict system performance.
  • Develop and validate thermal models using simulation software (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL, Star-CCM+).
  • Create detailed design documentation, including CAD models, drawings, and specifications for thermal components like heat sinks, fans, heat pipes, and liquid cooling systems.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical, software engineering) to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Define test plans, conduct thermal testing, and analyze results to validate designs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work independently and proactively manage projects, ensuring timely delivery of design milestones.
  • Troubleshoot thermal-related issues in prototypes and production units.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes, tools, and methodologies for thermal engineering.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in thermal management technologies and best practices.
  • Effectively communicate technical information and project status updates to stakeholders through virtual meetings and written reports.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a strong focus on thermal sciences.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with a specialization in thermal design and analysis.
  • Proficiency in thermal analysis software (CFD/FEA) and CAD tools.
  • Solid understanding of heat transfer mechanisms (conduction, convection, radiation) and fluid dynamics.
  • Experience with thermal testing equipment and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a remote work environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience with product development cycles from concept to production.
  • Familiarity with electronic cooling applications is highly desirable.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects from the comfort of your home office, working with a collaborative and innovative team.
