Our client, a global leader in industrial automation solutions, is looking for a highly skilled Senior Field Service Technician to join their remote technical support team. While this role is remote-based, it requires significant travel to client sites across the nation to provide on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex industrial automation systems. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of their equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and software issues, performing preventative maintenance, and conducting system upgrades. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical aptitude, extensive hands-on experience with industrial machinery and control systems, and excellent problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for interpreting technical documentation, schematics, and blueprints, as well as documenting all service activities and client interactions. This position requires a proactive approach to customer service, the ability to work independently and manage your time effectively while traveling, and a commitment to safety protocols. A technical degree or certification in a relevant field (e.g., Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology) is required, along with a minimum of 6 years of experience in field service for industrial equipment, preferably in automation or robotics. Proficiency with various diagnostic tools and a solid understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for building strong client relationships.
