Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Supply Chain & Procurement Manager to lead their purchasing operations entirely remotely. This position is crucial for optimizing our client's global supply chain, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. You will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving efficiency across all purchasing activities. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing and procurement plans to meet business objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, from vendor selection and negotiation to contract management and performance monitoring.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the supply chain.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contract conditions with suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and commodity pricing to inform procurement decisions.
  • Oversee inventory management and demand forecasting to ensure adequate supply levels.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide solutions.
  • Develop and mentor a remote procurement team, fostering a culture of high performance.
  • Implement and utilize procurement software and systems to enhance efficiency and visibility.
  • Manage supplier risk and develop contingency plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain and procurement functions.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPSM) are highly desirable. Proven experience (5+ years) in strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management is required, with a strong track record of delivering cost savings and improving supplier performance. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills are essential. You must be a self-starter, highly organized, and adept at managing complex projects in a remote setting.
