Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Audio Engineer specializing in live events to join their dynamic team. This role requires a deep understanding of sound reinforcement, audio systems, and live production environments, with a particular focus on delivering exceptional audio experiences for concerts, conferences, and other significant events. The position is based in vibrant Tampa, Florida, US , and offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining essential on-site event support with remote planning and coordination. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of managing audio operations for large-scale productions, ensuring pristine sound quality, technical reliability, and seamless execution. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of audio setup, operation, and tear-down, from initial system design and equipment selection to final mixing and troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with event producers, artists, and technical crews to understand audio requirements and technical riders. You will design and implement audio system configurations, including front-of-house (FOH) and monitor mixing setups, utilizing digital and analog consoles, microphones, speakers, and signal processing equipment. The Lead Audio Engineer will manage and mentor a team of audio technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. This role demands exceptional problem-solving skills, the ability to react quickly under pressure, and a keen ear for detail. You will be responsible for conducting sound checks, live mixing during events, and troubleshooting any audio issues that may arise. Staying current with the latest audio technology, trends, and best practices in live sound is crucial. Qualifications:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
