Lead Civil Engineer - Infrastructure Projects (Remote)

Our client, a prestigious civil engineering firm renowned for its innovative infrastructure solutions, is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to join their established remote workforce. This role is crucial for leading the design and development of significant civil infrastructure projects, including transportation, water resources, and site development. You will be responsible for managing project teams, ensuring technical excellence, and guiding projects from conceptualization through to construction oversight. This position requires a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, strong project management capabilities, and the ability to foster collaboration within a distributed team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of complex civil engineering infrastructure projects.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Mentor and supervise a team of civil engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and support.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
• Develop and review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with clients, government agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Perform site investigations and assessments as required.
• Champion the adoption of best practices in civil engineering design and project delivery.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license. A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management, with a focus on infrastructure projects, is required. Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams and managing complex projects from inception to completion is essential. Proficiency in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation) is mandatory.
