Grant Writing and Development Manager - Remote

Our client, a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to community empowerment, is seeking a passionate and experienced Grant Writing and Development Manager to join their team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US. The primary responsibility of this role is to identify funding opportunities, develop compelling grant proposals, and manage relationships with foundations and corporate donors to secure financial resources necessary for the organization's mission.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing, research, and communication skills, with a proven track record of successfully securing grants from various funding sources, including government agencies, private foundations, and corporate entities. You will be adept at articulating the organization's needs and impact clearly and persuasively, translating program goals into fundable projects. This role requires strong organizational skills to manage multiple proposals simultaneously, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Experience with CRM systems for donor management and a deep understanding of the non-profit sector are highly desirable.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Researching and identifying potential grant funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
  • Developing and writing high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and other fundraising materials.
  • Crafting persuasive narratives that clearly articulate the organization's mission, programs, and impact.
  • Collaborating with program staff to gather information and develop project budgets.
  • Managing the grant submission process, ensuring all deadlines are met and requirements are fulfilled.
  • Maintaining a grants calendar and tracking submission status, reporting requirements, and outcomes.
  • Cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with foundation program officers and corporate giving managers.
  • Overseeing grant reporting requirements and ensuring timely and accurate submission of reports.
  • Contributing to the overall fundraising and development strategy of the organization.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Non-profit Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing and fundraising, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Demonstrated success in securing grants from diverse funding sources.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to identify funding trends and opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with grant management software or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Foundation Directory Online).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
