Remote Lead Installation Technician
Job Description
Our client, a leading provider of specialized equipment, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Lead Installation Technician. This is a fully remote role, requiring the ability to travel to customer sites as needed while managing administrative tasks and remote support from a home office. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing complex installation projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.

- Lead and supervise installation teams at customer sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and according to specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and support to installation technicians, troubleshooting issues and resolving on-site challenges.
- Develop detailed installation plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and site preparation requirements.
- Conduct pre-installation site assessments to identify potential risks and ensure readiness.
- Oversee the delivery and setup of equipment, ensuring proper configuration and integration.
- Perform quality checks and final inspections to ensure installations meet company standards and customer expectations.
- Train customers on the operation and maintenance of installed equipment.
- Manage project documentation, including installation reports, sign-offs, and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and customer support to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Develop and implement best practices for installation procedures and safety protocols.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues encountered during installations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of installation processes and training materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and parts used for installations.
- Manage travel logistics and expenses for field teams.
- Provide remote technical support and guidance to field technicians as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in installation, maintenance, or technical field service, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Proven experience leading installation projects for complex equipment or systems.
- Strong technical aptitude and hands-on ability in mechanical, electrical, or relevant system installations.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites as required.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to service excellence.
- Experience with specific industry equipment (e.g., manufacturing machinery, IT infrastructure, medical devices) is a strong asset.
