Remote Lead HVAC Installation Technician

Our client, a nationwide provider of home comfort solutions, is seeking an experienced and skilled Lead HVAC Installation Technician to join their fully remote team. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in HVAC system installation and diagnostics without the need for a central office, while still providing critical on-site services across your designated region. You will be responsible for leading installation projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and mentoring junior technicians. Your technical prowess and customer service skills will be paramount in delivering exceptional experiences to homeowners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive installations of residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
• Lead and train junior installation technicians, providing on-the-job guidance and technical support.
• Conduct thorough system diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify installation issues and recommend solutions.
• Ensure all installations comply with manufacturer specifications, local codes, and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all installation work performed, including parts used and time spent.
• Educate homeowners on system operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Communicate effectively with the remote support team, providing detailed reports on installation progress and challenges.
• Manage inventory of parts and equipment for installation jobs within your service area.
• Adhere to company protocols for customer service, professionalism, and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for system upgrades or additional services that benefit the customer.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience in residential HVAC installation, with a deep understanding of various makes and models. A strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and air distribution principles related to HVAC systems is required. You must hold relevant certifications (e.g., EPA Universal, NATE) and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are needed to interact with customers and guide junior team members.
