Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HVAC Technician to join their fully remote technical support team. This role is crucial for providing expert remote assistance and guidance on complex installation, maintenance, and repair issues related to Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with a wide range of HVAC equipment, diagnostic tools, and troubleshooting methodologies. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise to support field technicians and customers without the need for on-site travel.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced remote technical support for HVAC system installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Analyze diagnostic data and customer-reported issues to provide accurate solutions and guidance.
  • Develop detailed troubleshooting guides and instructional materials for field technicians.
  • Conduct remote training sessions for junior technicians and support staff.
  • Review installation plans and provide recommendations to ensure compliance with best practices and manufacturer specifications.
  • Identify recurring issues and provide feedback to the engineering and product development teams for system improvements.
  • Maintain detailed records of support interactions, resolutions, and common fault patterns.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in HVAC technology, diagnostic tools, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer service and product management, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Evaluate service bulletins and technical advisories to disseminate critical information to the field team.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical degree or certification in HVAC or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC Technician, with a strong focus on commercial and industrial systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of various HVAC components, including chillers, boilers, air handling units, and control systems (e.g., BACnet, Modbus).
  • Proficiency with diagnostic software and equipment used in HVAC troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills for creating guides and conducting remote training.
  • Ability to effectively explain complex technical concepts to individuals with varying levels of expertise.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment, managing time effectively.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in HVAC maintenance and repair.
