Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HVAC Systems Technician to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote, permanent position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. You will be responsible for the remote diagnosis, troubleshooting, and guidance on the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex HVAC systems across various commercial and residential properties.

- Perform remote diagnostic assessments of HVAC system malfunctions using provided telematics and diagnostic tools.
- Develop detailed, step-by-step repair and maintenance plans for field technicians, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Provide expert technical support and guidance to on-site installation and maintenance crews via phone, video conferencing, and digital documentation.
- Analyze system performance data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for optimization.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to provide feedback on system design and performance.
- Stay current with industry best practices, new technologies, and relevant codes and regulations.
- Conduct virtual training sessions for junior technicians on troubleshooting techniques and system best practices.
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple remote support requests simultaneously.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience with a wide range of HVAC systems (e.g., rooftop units, chillers, boilers, VRF systems).
- Proven ability to diagnose complex technical issues remotely.
- Strong understanding of HVAC principles, refrigeration cycles, and electrical schematics.
- Proficiency with diagnostic software, remote access tools, and digital communication platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- EPA Universal Certification is required.
- Relevant trade certifications (e.g., NATE) are a strong plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage a remote workload effectively.
- A stable internet connection and a dedicated home office space are essential for this role.
