Senior HVAC Technician - Remote Supervisor
Job Description
Our client is a national leader in facilities management and is seeking a highly skilled Senior HVAC Technician to take on a unique remote supervisory role. This position is fully remote, allowing you to leverage your expertise to manage and support field technicians across various locations. You will be responsible for providing remote technical guidance, troubleshooting complex HVAC issues, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of maintenance and repair services. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial and residential HVAC systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to guide and mentor a distributed team. You will be instrumental in maintaining optimal climate control for our client's diverse portfolio of properties.

- Provide remote technical support and guidance to HVAC technicians in the field for troubleshooting and repair of HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning).
- Diagnose complex HVAC system malfunctions and failures via remote consultations and diagnostic data analysis.
- Review and approve repair plans and recommendations submitted by field technicians.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, industry best practices, and company standards in all service delivery.
- Monitor service performance metrics and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and quality.
- Conduct remote training sessions for field technicians on new equipment, diagnostic techniques, and best practices.
- Assist in managing inventory of parts and supplies for field teams.
- Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs, and system performance.
- Liaise with clients and property managers to address concerns and provide updates on service status.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of standard operating procedures for HVAC services.
- Analyze system performance data to identify potential preventative maintenance needs and recommend proactive solutions.
- Stay current with advancements in HVAC technology, energy efficiency, and relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized HVAC trade program or apprenticeship is required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as an HVAC technician, with a strong focus on commercial and industrial systems.
- EPA Universal Certification is mandatory.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, and control systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems related to HVAC.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to guide, mentor, and troubleshoot remotely with field personnel.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) is a significant plus.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency standards and practices.
