Remote HVAC Installation Technician

Our client is seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Installation Technician to join their fully remote team. While the role is based out of Huntsville, Alabama, US , the technician will be expected to travel to various client sites as needed, with the administrative and coordination aspects of the role being managed remotely. This is a hands-on position for individuals with expertise in installing, servicing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

As an HVAC Installation Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper installation of HVAC equipment in residential and commercial settings. You will work directly with clients to understand their needs, provide expert installations, and ensure systems are functioning optimally. Your commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction will be paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to determine installation procedures.
• Perform pre-installation checks and ensure all necessary tools and materials are available.
• Install ductwork, piping, and electrical components according to specifications.
• Connect systems to electrical power sources and ensure proper functioning.
• Perform system start-ups, checks, and balances to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with installed systems, providing effective solutions.
• Educate clients on system operation, maintenance, and best practices.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Complete all required documentation, including installation reports and service logs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and ensure tools are in good working order.
• Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies and installation techniques.
• Manage travel to various job sites efficiently.
• Coordinate with remote dispatch and support teams as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or trade school program in HVAC is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HVAC technician, with a focus on installation.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of various HVAC systems, components, and tools.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote and on-site capacity.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
• Familiarity with basic electrical and plumbing principles.
• Good communication skills for interacting with clients and remote support.
