Production Manager - Advanced Manufacturing (Remote)
Job Description
Our client, a leader in advanced manufacturing technologies, is seeking a highly experienced Production Manager to oversee their manufacturing operations from a remote capacity. This unique opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise in production planning, process optimization, and team leadership without being physically present on the factory floor daily. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and high-quality production output by working closely with on-site supervisors, engineering teams, and supply chain partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive operational excellence through remote management. You will utilize data analytics, digital communication tools, and strategic oversight to manage production schedules, quality control, and resource allocation.

- Oversee and manage daily production operations across multiple manufacturing lines, ensuring adherence to schedules and targets.
- Develop and implement production plans, optimizing resource allocation, workflows, and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with on-site supervisors and team leads to monitor production progress and address any issues promptly.
- Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures to ensure product excellence and compliance with standards.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
- Manage production budgets, track costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and foster a strong safety culture among the workforce.
- Liaise with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and delivery of finished goods.
- Utilize digital tools and communication platforms to effectively manage and motivate remote and on-site teams.
- Prepare production reports, performance metrics, and forecasts for senior management.
- Drive innovation in manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years in a Production Management or Supervisory role.
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and ERP software.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage teams remotely.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
- Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies is a plus.
