Methodist Health System is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform high‑quality CT imaging procedures, ensure patient safety, and collaborate closely with radiologists and clinical staff. Perform high-quality CT examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols
Prepare and position patients safely and comfortably for CT procedures, explaining the process and addressing questions or concerns
Review patient histories, lab values, and potential contraindications prior to administering IV contrast or scanning
Administer IV contrast media safely and monitor patients for adverse reactions, escalating care when needed
Apply radiation safety best practices, including ALARA principles, shielding, and appropriate protocol selection to minimize dose
Verify orders and collaborate with radiologists to clarify protocols and imaging needs, adjusting as clinically indicated
Prioritize and complete STAT, emergency, inpatient, and outpatient CT studies efficiently while maintaining image quality
Perform routine equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, and coordinate service support to maintain scanner performance and uptime
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record and radiology information systems, including exam details and contrast usage
Adhere to infection prevention protocols, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and exam rooms between patients
Support and collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, patient-centered care
Participate in continuing education, competency assessments, and quality improvement initiatives within the imaging department
Assist with orienting and mentoring newly hired technologists or students as requested by leadership
Operation of CT scanners and radiology equipment
CT imaging protocols for head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities
Patient positioning and immobilization techniques
IV insertion and administration of contrast media
Radiation safety and ALARA principles
Image quality assessment and basic post-processing
Use of PACS, RIS, and electronic health records
Recognition and response to contrast reactions and patient distress
Infection prevention and control practices in imaging settings
Time management and prioritization of STAT and scheduled exams
Communication and teamwork in a hospital environment

Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R)
ARRT post-primary certification in Computed Tomography (CT) or eligibility to obtain within a defined timeframe
Current state license or permit as required for radiologic technologists
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
