Job Description
Methodist Health System seeks a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT imaging exams in a fast-paced Healthcare & Medical Services department. You will operate CT equipment, follow radiation safety protocols, verify orders, and prepare patients with compassion and clear communication. Responsibilities include accurate image acquisition, contrast administration per protocol, timely documentation, and close collaboration with radiologists, nurses, and the care team. Perform CT imaging exams according to physician orders and department protocols
Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment safely and effectively
Apply radiation safety principles for patients, self, and staff
Screen patients and obtain history, consents, and IV access as needed
Administer contrast media per protocol and monitor patient response
Ensure accurate patient identification and proper exam documentation in the EMR/PACS
Evaluate image quality and repeat studies when clinically necessary
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care team to coordinate patient care
Maintain equipment cleanliness, room readiness, and supply levels
Support a patient-centered, compassionate care environment aligned with Methodist Health System values
CT imaging techniques and protocols
Operation of CT scanners and imaging equipment
Radiation safety and dose optimization
Patient positioning and immobilization
IV insertion and contrast administration
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology
Use of PACS and EMR systems
Infection prevention and control practices
Emergency response and patient monitoring skills
Regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, ACR)

Current ARRT (R) certification
ARRT (CT) certification or eligibility within defined timeframe
Valid state Radiologic Technologist license (if applicable)
BLS/CPR certification
Previous CT or diagnostic radiology experience preferred
