Remote Senior Field Installation Technician

Our client, a leader in advanced industrial equipment manufacturing, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Installation Technician to join their fully remote support team. This role involves traveling to client sites to install, maintain, and repair complex machinery and systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless integration and optimal performance of our products at customer locations worldwide, providing exceptional technical support and training to end-users. The ideal candidate possesses a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, extensive experience with industrial equipment installation and troubleshooting, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. This position requires extensive travel but operates on a remote basis for administrative and planning purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and calibration of sophisticated industrial equipment and systems according to technical specifications and blueprints.
• Conduct routine maintenance, preventative servicing, and timely repairs to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Provide comprehensive technical training and support to customer personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic data to resolve intricate problems.
• Ensure all work is performed safely, adhering to all company and site-specific safety protocols and regulations.
• Maintain detailed service reports, documenting all installation, maintenance, and repair activities, including parts used and time spent.
• Collaborate with the engineering and support teams to provide feedback on product performance and suggest design improvements.
• Manage on-site customer relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
• Travel extensively to various client locations domestically and internationally as required by project demands.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field. A Bachelor's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing complex industrial machinery or equipment.
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&IDs.
• Extensive knowledge of diagnostic tools and techniques for troubleshooting diverse technical issues.
• Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude, with a solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a demanding field environment.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 80% of the time) is mandatory.
• Valid driver's license and passport are required.
