Our client, a dynamic leader in specialized equipment manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Senior Field Installation & Maintenance Technician for a fully remote role. This position requires extensive travel to client sites across the country for the installation, servicing, and repair of complex machinery. While the role is remote based, it necessitates significant time spent on the road ensuring client satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform on-site installations of advanced machinery and equipment according to technical specifications and client requirements.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative servicing to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues, implementing effective repair solutions.
  • Provide comprehensive technical support and training to client personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and emergency repair requests, minimizing downtime for clients.
  • Document all installation, maintenance, and repair activities accurately using company reporting systems.
  • Identify potential equipment failures or performance issues and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Manage on-site project timelines and resources effectively to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to provide feedback on equipment design and performance.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service during all client interactions.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and tools required for field service operations.
  • Adhere to all travel and expense reporting policies.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a field service technician, with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex machinery or equipment.
  • Strong understanding of blueprints, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic software and testing equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and support clients.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively while traveling.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 75-80% of the time) nationwide.
  • Experience in specific industries such as industrial automation, medical devices, or telecommunications is advantageous.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
