Senior Fleet Operations Coordinator (Remote)

Our client, a national logistics company, is seeking a highly organized and proactive Senior Fleet Operations Coordinator to manage and optimize its fleet operations entirely remotely. This pivotal role involves coordinating driver schedules, ensuring vehicle maintenance, managing compliance, and optimizing routes for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of fleet management software, and the ability to manage a complex network of vehicles and drivers from a remote location. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of a diverse fleet, including scheduling, dispatching, and coordinating vehicle movements.
• Manage driver schedules, ensuring compliance with hours-of-service regulations and optimizing route planning for efficiency.
• Coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections for all vehicles to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Maintain accurate records of fleet activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance history, and driver performance.
• Utilize fleet management software and telematics systems to monitor vehicle location, performance, and driver behavior.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing commercial vehicle operations.
• Respond promptly to any operational disruptions or emergencies, developing and implementing effective solutions.
• Liaise with internal departments, external vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth fleet operations.
• Analyze fleet performance data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and reduce operational costs.
• Foster strong communication and relationships with drivers and support staff through remote channels.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet operations management, logistics coordination, or a similar role.
• Proven experience managing remote fleet operations and coordinating with drivers across different locations.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and vehicle maintenance best practices.
• Proficiency in fleet management software (e.g., Samsara, Teletrac Navman, KeepTruckin) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and handle pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
