Our client, a national logistics and transportation company, is seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics and Fleet Operations Coordinator to manage critical aspects of their operations remotely. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods across the country. You will be responsible for coordinating daily transportation schedules, optimizing delivery routes, and managing communication between drivers, dispatchers, and customers. Key duties include monitoring fleet performance, tracking shipments in real-time using GPS and telematics systems, and addressing any logistical challenges or delays that arise. You will maintain accurate records of driver logs, fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and compliance with transportation regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices in fleet operations. Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and routing software is essential. You must possess exceptional problem-solving skills, the ability to make quick decisions under pressure, and excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including drivers and management. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in logistics, dispatch, or fleet management, preferably within a remote work environment.
