Our client, a global leader in advanced automation and robotics solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Field Service Engineer to join their innovative team. This is a fully remote position that requires extensive travel to client sites across various regions for installation, maintenance, and repair of sophisticated robotic systems. You will be the primary technical point of contact for clients, ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of their robotic installations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software components of industrial robots, coupled with exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform on-site installations, commissioning, and integration of robotic systems at customer locations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues with robotic equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, preventative care, and repairs to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers, resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Interpret technical documentation, schematics, and blueprints to guide repair and maintenance activities.
  • Perform system upgrades and retrofits as required by clients or product updates.
  • Generate detailed service reports, documenting all work performed, parts used, and time spent.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and R&D teams to provide feedback on product performance and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to all company safety policies and procedures during on-site visits.
  • Manage travel logistics and maintain a consistent presence at client facilities as needed for project support.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in field service engineering, with a strong focus on industrial robotics.
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex electromechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with common industrial robot brands and programming software is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of control systems, PLCs, and automation principles.
  • Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a valid passport for potential international travel.
  • Ability to travel extensively (up to 75%) as required by client needs and project demands, while maintaining a remote home office.
