Our client, a global leader in advanced industrial automation and robotics, is seeking a highly skilled Remote Senior Field Service Engineer to provide expert technical support and maintenance for their cutting-edge robotic systems. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to leverage your expertise from anywhere in the US. You will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our clients' robotic installations through remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and guiding on-site technicians. Your deep technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities will be essential in resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert remote technical support for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial robotic systems.
  • Conduct remote diagnostics using advanced software tools, analyzing system performance data, and identifying root causes of failures or malfunctions.
  • Develop and document detailed technical solutions and repair procedures for complex issues, effectively communicating them to on-site personnel.
  • Guide and mentor on-site technicians through complex repair processes, ensuring successful and timely resolution of technical challenges.
  • Analyze field service data to identify recurring issues, trends, and potential product improvements, providing feedback to engineering and product development teams.
  • Develop and deliver remote technical training programs for customer staff and internal service teams.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including service manuals, troubleshooting guides, and best practice advisories.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and recommend necessary parts for repair interventions.
  • Ensure all service activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and customer support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Stay at the forefront of robotic technology advancements, continuously expanding knowledge base and expertise.
  • Respond to critical service requests promptly, prioritizing tasks to minimize system downtime for customers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in field service engineering, with a specialization in industrial robotics and automation.
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex electromechanical systems, including servo motors, controllers, sensors, and vision systems.
  • Strong proficiency in PLC programming and industrial network protocols.
  • Experience with various robotic programming platforms and simulation software.
  • Excellent remote diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and systematically.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic, remote environment.
  • Proficiency in utilizing remote access tools, diagnostic software, and collaboration platforms.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for critical on-site interventions if required.
  • Experience in the semiconductor, automotive, or logistics industries is a plus.
