Remote Supply Chain Analyst - Logistics Optimization

Our client, a leading global logistics provider, is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Analyst to join their fully remote operations team. This role is pivotal in driving efficiency and cost savings across the supply chain network. You will be responsible for analyzing complex logistics data, identifying bottlenecks, and developing data-driven strategies to optimize transportation routes, inventory management, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical abilities, proficiency in supply chain software and data visualization tools, and a keen understanding of logistics principles. Collaboration with various internal teams and external partners will be essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze current supply chain operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics networks, reduce lead times, and lower operational costs.
  • Utilize data analytics tools and methodologies to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and improve on-time delivery performance.
  • Create dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as freight spend, transit times, and inventory turns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless supply chain execution.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to warehouse layouts, material handling processes, and labor utilization.
  • Research and implement best practices in supply chain management and logistics technology.
  • Support the implementation of new supply chain systems and software.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and disruptions within the supply chain.
  • Prepare presentations and communicate findings and recommendations to management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or operations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Understanding of supply chain principles, including transportation modes, inventory control, and warehousing.
  • Experience with supply chain management software (e.g., WMS, TMS) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

This is a fully remote role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to optimizing global logistics from anywhere in the United States.
