Senior Supply Chain Analyst - Remote Logistics Optimization

Our client, a leading global logistics and supply chain management provider, is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Supply Chain Analyst to join their fully remote team. This position is crucial for optimizing our vast network of warehouses and transportation routes, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods across the nation. You will leverage advanced data analytics, modeling techniques, and supply chain best practices to identify bottlenecks, propose solutions, and implement strategies that enhance overall operational performance.

As a remote Senior Supply Chain Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing complex supply chain data, developing sophisticated forecasting models, and conducting performance benchmarking. Your insights will directly influence strategic decisions related to inventory management, network design, and carrier performance. This role requires a strong understanding of warehousing operations, transportation management systems, and various supply chain software. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, capable of working independently, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams virtually, and presenting findings clearly and concisely to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze end-to-end supply chain operations, identifying areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and service levels.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards for supply chain metrics.
• Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau) to extract insights from large datasets.
• Design and implement optimization strategies for inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.
• Conduct network modeling and simulation studies to evaluate potential changes and investments.
• Collaborate with warehouse operations, procurement, and customer service teams to align strategies and resolve issues.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on supply chain performance, trends, and recommendations for senior management.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies and methodologies to enhance supply chain capabilities.
• Manage multiple analytical projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of results.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain and logistics management.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or operations.
• Proven expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong understanding of inventory planning, demand forecasting, and network design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Experience in the Las Vegas, Nevada, US logistics hub is a plus, though the role is fully remote.
