Supply Chain Optimization Manager (Remote)

Our client is actively seeking a talented and experienced Supply Chain Optimization Manager to lead their logistics operations on a fully remote basis. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker who can drive efficiency and innovation across a complex global supply chain network. You will be responsible for analyzing existing supply chain processes, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing data-driven solutions to improve performance, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. This position requires a deep understanding of warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and demand forecasting, all managed within a virtual team environment.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategic supply chain initiatives, optimizing inventory levels, and improving delivery times and reliability. You will leverage advanced analytics and technology to streamline operations, implement best practices, and ensure seamless integration between different supply chain functions. This role involves collaborating closely with internal teams (procurement, sales, operations) and external partners (carriers, 3PL providers, suppliers) through effective virtual communication. You will also be tasked with establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), monitoring supply chain performance, and reporting findings and recommendations to senior leadership. Proactive risk management and contingency planning to mitigate disruptions are also critical components of this role.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, with a Master's degree or MBA being a plus. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with a proven track record of successful optimization projects, is required. Expertise in supply chain software, WMS, TMS, and ERP systems is essential. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis and modeling tools, and excellent problem-solving capabilities are a must. Exceptional communication, leadership, and change management skills are crucial for success in this remote role.
