Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Audio Engineer to join our dynamic Arts & Entertainment team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere within the US. You will be instrumental in shaping the sonic identity of our groundbreaking projects, focusing on the creation of immersive and captivating audio experiences. This role demands a deep understanding of audio principles, cutting-edge production techniques, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of sound design. You'll collaborate closely with creative teams, including composers, game designers, and filmmakers, to translate conceptual ideas into tangible, high-fidelity audio assets. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, designing and implementing complex audio systems, mixing and mastering final audio outputs, developing custom audio tools and plugins, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met across all projects. We are looking for individuals who possess exceptional problem-solving skills, a keen ear for detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. A strong portfolio showcasing your diverse audio engineering capabilities, particularly in immersive audio technologies like Dolby Atmos or ambisonics, is essential. - Troubleshoot and resolve audio-related technical issues.
- Stay abreast of emerging audio technologies and trends, and propose innovative solutions.
- Manage audio pipelines and ensure efficient asset delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in audio engineering within the entertainment industry.
- Proficiency with industry-standard DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live) and audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD).
- Experience with immersive audio formats (e.g., Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, ambisonics).
- Strong understanding of acoustics, psychoacoustics, and signal processing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
