Senior Production Process Engineer (Remote)

Our client, a global leader in advanced manufacturing, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Production Process Engineer to join their innovative team in a fully remote capacity. This role is pivotal in optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety across their production facilities. You will leverage your expertise to analyze, design, and implement improvements that drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze existing production processes to identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, cost reduction, quality, and safety.
  • Develop and implement new process designs, technologies, and methodologies to optimize manufacturing output.
  • Create detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and flowcharts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure seamless implementation of process changes.
  • Utilize data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., SPC, DOE) to monitor process performance and identify root causes of issues.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen events.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for production staff on new processes and quality standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend new equipment or technology upgrades to enhance production capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and quality management systems.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in manufacturing process engineering.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in production process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively document processes and train personnel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote setting.
  • Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing is a plus.
