This fully remote role is essential for establishing and upholding ethical frameworks and robust governance policies for the development and deployment of artificial intelligence systems. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our AI initiatives align with societal values, regulatory requirements, and best practices in responsible innovation.
Key responsibilities include developing AI ethics guidelines, conducting risk assessments for AI systems, and creating governance frameworks that address issues such as bias, fairness, transparency, and accountability. You will collaborate with AI researchers, engineers, legal teams, and policy experts to integrate ethical considerations throughout the AI lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics policies and governance frameworks.
- Conduct ethical risk assessments for new and existing AI systems.
- Advise AI development teams on ethical considerations, bias mitigation, and fairness.
- Monitor evolving AI regulations and industry standards globally.
- Create training materials and conduct workshops on AI ethics and responsible innovation.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and product teams to ensure AI systems meet ethical and regulatory requirements.
- Research and stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI ethics and trustworthy AI.
- Contribute to the development of internal AI governance tools and processes.
- Engage with external stakeholders on AI ethics initiatives and best practices.
- Promote a culture of ethical awareness and responsible AI development within the organization.
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Philosophy, Law, Public Policy, or Ethics, with a specialization in AI or technology ethics.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in AI ethics, technology governance, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of AI concepts, machine learning, and their societal implications.
- Knowledge of ethical frameworks, fairness metrics, and bias detection methods in AI.
- Familiarity with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and emerging AI legislation.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
- Proven ability to work independently and lead initiatives in a remote environment.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
