As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will lead the design process from concept to execution, conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and developing high-fidelity visual designs. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to advocate for the user and ensure design excellence. The ideal candidate possesses a strong portfolio showcasing a deep understanding of UX principles, UI patterns, and interaction design across web and mobile platforms. They should be adept at using industry-standard design tools, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a collaborative, asynchronous work environment. The ability to articulate design decisions and influence product direction is paramount.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights into user needs and behaviors.
- Develop user personas, user journey maps, and information architecture to guide design decisions.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile applications.
- Design high-fidelity user interfaces, ensuring visual consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineering teams to translate requirements into effective design solutions.
- Champion user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback, usability testing, and performance data.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a design system.
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, effectively communicating design decisions.
- Stay current with the latest UX/UI trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful digital product designs.
- Expertise in user research methodologies and usability testing.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
- Solid understanding of interaction design, visual design principles, and platform-specific UI conventions (iOS, Android, Web).
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate within a distributed remote team.
- Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG) is a plus.
- Familiarity with the tech landscape in San Antonio, Texas, US is beneficial, though the role is fully remote.
