Remote Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Remote Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their cutting-edge product development team. This is a fully remote position, offering the chance to contribute to advanced projects from anywhere in the US. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical systems design, circuit analysis, and embedded systems. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical components and systems for a variety of applications, ensuring they meet stringent performance and reliability standards.

- Design and develop electrical schematics and Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for complex electronic systems.
- Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and testing to ensure design integrity and functionality.
- Select appropriate electronic components based on performance, cost, and reliability requirements.
- Develop and implement firmware for embedded systems and microcontrollers.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Create detailed design documentation, including specifications, schematics, test procedures, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues encountered during prototyping, testing, and manufacturing.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) reviews.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in electrical engineering, components, and design tools.
- Manage external vendors and component suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., UL, CE, FCC).
- Contribute to the overall system architecture and technical roadmap.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical hardware design and development.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro).
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, and embedded systems.
- Experience with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM, PIC) and associated development tools.
- Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet).
- Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage projects in a remote environment.
- Experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters).
