Senior Educational Technologist

You will provide technical support and training to faculty and staff, empowering them to effectively utilize technology in their teaching and administrative roles. This role demands a strong understanding of learning management systems (LMS), multimedia development, and online instructional design principles. Your expertise in instructional design methodologies, digital content creation, and online learning best practices will be critical. This is a remote-first position, requiring strong self-discipline and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities:

• Research, evaluate, and implement new educational technologies and software.
• Design and develop engaging online courses, modules, and digital learning materials.
• Provide technical support and training on LMS, digital tools, and pedagogical best practices.
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate technology effectively into curriculum and instruction.
• Create multimedia content, including videos, tutorials, and interactive simulations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to educational software and platforms.
• Stay current with emerging trends in educational technology and online learning.
• Contribute to the development of institutional strategies for educational technology adoption.
• Assist in the management and administration of the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Develop documentation and resources for users of educational technology.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in educational technology support and development.
• Proven experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle).
• Proficiency in multimedia development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
• Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
• Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Experience in a remote work environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
