Remote Senior Quality Control Manager

Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing firm, is seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Senior Quality Control Manager to oversee and enhance their quality assurance processes. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to manage quality control strategies, implement robust inspection protocols, and drive a culture of excellence in quality from your home office. You will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quality management systems, statistical process control, and leadership within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control policies and procedures to ensure product consistency and compliance with industry standards.
  • Oversee all aspects of the quality control process, including raw material inspection, in-process monitoring, and finished product testing.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct regular audits of manufacturing facilities and processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, root causes of defects, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Manage a remote team of quality control inspectors and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, FDA, GMP, depending on industry).
  • Develop and manage the quality control budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Stay current with quality management best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes.
  • Lead initiatives to foster a company-wide culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical), Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within the manufacturing sector, with at least 4 years in a management role.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing quality management systems (QMS), such as ISO 9001.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma methodologies, and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Experience with various inspection and testing methods relevant to manufactured goods.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage remote teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Experience in auditing and supplier quality management is a plus.
