Our client, a premier full-service catering and event planning company, is seeking a highly organized and client-focused Remote Catering Operations & Event Planner. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to manage events and coordinate catering services from anywhere within the US. You will be instrumental in ensuring seamless execution of events, from initial client consultation and menu planning to logistical coordination and on-site (or virtual) support oversight. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses exceptional communication skills, and has a keen eye for detail to deliver unforgettable culinary experiences and flawlessly executed events.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their vision, needs, and budget for catered events.
- Develop creative and customized menu proposals, collaborating with culinary teams to ensure feasibility and client satisfaction.
- Manage all logistical aspects of event planning, including timelines, vendor coordination, staffing, and equipment rentals.
- Coordinate with catering staff, chefs, and service teams to ensure seamless execution of food and beverage service.
- Conduct virtual site inspections and venue assessments as needed.
- Prepare detailed event outlines, floor plans, and run-of-show documents.
- Oversee event budgets, ensuring profitability and accuracy in all financial transactions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise before, during, or after an event.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Stay updated on current catering trends, menu innovations, and event design.
- Utilize event management software and CRM systems to track client interactions and event details.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire event planning process.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations related to food handling and service are met, even when coordinating remotely.
- Proven experience in catering management, event planning, or hospitality management.
- Demonstrated success in coordinating complex events and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, menu planning, and event logistics.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship management skills.
- Proficiency with event planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote setting.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- A passion for food, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
