Senior Logistics and Supply Chain Analyst (Remote)

Job Description

Our client, a rapidly growing e-commerce fulfillment company, is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Logistics and Supply Chain Analyst to join their fully remote team. This role is integral to optimizing the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall performance of the company's global supply chain operations. You will be responsible for analyzing complex logistics data, identifying bottlenecks, developing data-driven solutions, and implementing strategic improvements across warehousing, transportation, and inventory management. As a remote-first position, you will leverage advanced analytics tools and collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities in areas such as transportation, warehousing, and inventory.
  • Develop and implement optimization strategies for logistics networks, including route planning, carrier management, and warehouse layout.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on supply chain performance to senior management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, procurement, sales) and external partners (carriers, suppliers) to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
  • Design and manage inventory control systems to balance stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and prevent stockouts.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to fulfillment processes and technology solutions.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed supply chain initiatives and projects.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics providers and negotiate favorable contract terms.
  • Create dashboards and reporting tools to visualize supply chain data and performance metrics.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies within the supply chain.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics, supply chain analysis, or operations management, preferably within e-commerce or retail.
  • Proven expertise in data analysis, modeling, and simulation using tools such as Excel (advanced), SQL, Python, R, or specialized supply chain software.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, warehousing operations, and transportation modes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive significant improvements in efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Experience with TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach to continuous improvement.
