Supply Chain Analyst - Remote Operations

Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Supply Chain Analyst to manage and optimize logistical operations from a remote capacity. This role is integral to ensuring the seamless flow of goods from suppliers to our distribution centers and ultimately to our customers, serving clients across various industries. The ideal candidate will leverage data to identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, and enhance overall supply chain performance. This is a fully remote position, requiring a self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills who can thrive in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in inventory management, transportation, and warehousing.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations, monitoring performance against targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, sales, operations) and external partners (carriers, suppliers) to ensure efficient logistics.
  • Assist in forecasting demand and optimizing inventory levels to meet customer needs while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to supply chain processes, technology, and strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on supply chain performance, highlighting key insights and action items for management.
  • Support the implementation of new supply chain initiatives and systems.
  • Monitor shipment statuses and proactively address any delays or issues to minimize disruption.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for potential supply chain solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies across all supply chain activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and data analysis tools.
  • Experience with supply chain management software (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with forecasting techniques and inventory management principles.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Experience with SQL or other database query languages is a plus.
