Remote Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

Our client is a rapidly growing software development firm seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards for our innovative software products through comprehensive testing and analysis. As a Senior QA Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating closely with development teams to resolve issues. Your expertise in various testing methodologies and tools will be essential in delivering robust and reliable software solutions. We are looking for an analytical thinker with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex software applications.
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
• Collaborate effectively with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
• Analyze test results, generate detailed reports, and provide feedback on product quality.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions to provide input on testability and quality.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in quality assurance.
• Ensure that all testing activities align with project timelines and deliverables.
• Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Proven experience in designing and executing test plans and test cases.
• Proficiency with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, TestRail).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical issues.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
• Experience with API testing and database querying (SQL) is desirable.
