Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Principal Electrical Engineer specializing in RF Design to join their esteemed team in Richmond, Virginia, US . This role embraces a hybrid work model, offering a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, contributing to groundbreaking projects in advanced electronics.
As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and testing sophisticated radio frequency (RF) systems and components. Your responsibilities will encompass the full design cycle, from initial concept and system architecture to detailed schematic capture, simulation, layout supervision, and hardware bring-up. You will perform critical RF performance analysis, including impedance matching, signal integrity, noise figure, linearity, and power efficiency calculations. The role involves selecting appropriate RF components, developing RF integrated circuits (RFICs), and designing antennas and microwave circuits. You will collaborate closely with firmware and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration and performance. Mentoring junior engineers, leading technical reviews, and contributing to strategic technology roadmaps will be integral parts of this position.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in RF and Microwave Engineering. A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience in RF circuit design and system-level integration is required. Demonstrated expertise in using RF simulation tools such as ADS, HFSS, or Cadence is essential. Strong knowledge of RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes) and measurement techniques is mandatory. Experience with RF system architecture, cascade analysis, and filter design is highly valued. Excellent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, and a proven track record of bringing complex RF products to market are necessary. Exceptional communication and leadership skills are required to effectively guide teams and present technical findings.
This is a premier opportunity to shape the future of RF technology within a leading organization. You will work with cutting-edge technology, tackle challenging engineering problems, and contribute significantly to the company's success. If you are a visionary RF engineer with a passion for innovation and a drive for excellence, we encourage you to apply.
