Job Description
Our client, a premier catering service provider, is seeking a dynamic and organized Catering Operations Lead to manage and coordinate all aspects of their catering services remotely. This role is essential for ensuring the seamless execution of events, from initial client consultation and menu planning to logistical coordination and post-event follow-up. While the role is fully remote, it requires exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, chefs, event staff, and vendors.

- Coordinate all logistical aspects of catering events, ensuring timely delivery, setup, and breakdown.
- Liaise directly with clients to understand their needs, provide proposals, and manage expectations throughout the planning process.
- Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure accurate menu execution, food safety standards, and presentation quality.
- Manage event staffing schedules, ensuring adequate personnel are assigned for each event and providing clear instructions.
- Oversee inventory of catering supplies, equipment, and rentals, ensuring sufficient stock and proper maintenance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the highest quality ingredients and services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise during events to ensure client satisfaction.
- Contribute to menu development and service innovation based on client feedback and industry trends.
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure profitability for each catered event.
- Maintain detailed records of all events, client communications, and operational feedback.
- Uphold the company's high standards for quality, service, and professionalism in all aspects of operations.
- Utilize catering management software to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Proven experience in catering management, event planning, or hospitality operations.
- Strong understanding of food service operations, health and safety regulations, and menu planning.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote work environment.
- Proficiency in using catering or event management software.
- A passion for food and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure during events.
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the catering industry is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
