Senior Supply Chain Analyst - Remote Procurement

Our client is looking for a highly analytical and strategic Senior Supply Chain Analyst to join their fully remote purchasing department. This role is critical in optimizing procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiencies across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, advanced data analysis skills, and a proven track record in strategic sourcing and negotiation, all performed from a remote location. You will play a key role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for our client's operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for key categories of spend.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with a diverse portfolio of suppliers, ensuring strong performance and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to understand supplier capabilities, pricing trends, and potential risks.
  • Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements with new and existing suppliers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure supply chain alignment.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement activities and supplier performance.
  • Create detailed reports and presentations on supply chain performance, cost analysis, and strategic recommendations.
  • Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations in all procurement activities.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to address complex supply chain challenges.
  • Manage the entire procure-to-pay process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, procurement, or strategic sourcing.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and relationship building.
  • Excellent understanding of procurement best practices and supply chain principles.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and e-procurement platforms.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach with a keen eye for detail.
  • Must have a dedicated home office setup with reliable high-speed internet access.
